Satellite Broadband - Episode 2
Hot on the heels of the Inmarsat announcement; Eutelsat, a European satellite operator, is set to launch a satellite-based broadband service for European consumers. The service is set to launch in June and will provide broadband connectivity to consumers living in areas not well supported by fixed-line broadband.
Eutelsat has stated that prices will be comparable to conventional broadband networks but will provide connectivity for much of Europe and the Mediterranean basin and will include Germany, Portugal, Spain and Switzerland.
Eutelsat is working with Viasat, which provides the satellite broadband technology, and broadband operator Skylogic. For more information visit Eutelsat.
