Windows Mobile 6 Due Soon.
Microsoft is planning to officially announce Windows Mobile 6 next week at the 3GSM trade show in Barcelona. WM6 is promised to offer improved search, better security and tighter integration with Windows Live services. I'm hoping they'll address some of the issues people are experiencing with WM5. One of the biggest improvements is integrated support for VOIP. Windows Mobile will come in three flavours; Professional (for touch screens), Standard (for phones) and Standard (for PDA's without phone capabilities). One bit of news is that support for Office 2007's new file formats will be missing from the initial releases. Support should be added sometime in the summer though. Engadget have a nice gallery featuring screens from the standard edition.
