Zigview Digital Angle Viewfinder As far as we know, there's no official U.S. Zigview distributor yet. Look for the Zigview Digital Angle Viewfinder online at this entry site, Intro2020, listing about 30 locations in the UK, many of which do online/mail order to the U.S., Canada and Europe. Among other companies, we've dealt with Camera King in the UK a couple of times and their service seems to be good for orders and shipments to the U.S. and Canada.

Playing Commercial DVD Movies in Xandros Linux

Well it's not quite the nightmare it used to be, although tweaking is still required. Xandros is a big package but you'll have to check with the company to find out exactly what DVD player is included right now. There are lots of choices. OgleDVD is a good product. Xine has a huge following, and yes, some tweaking may be required. Here's a good article (from 2002) on Linux DVD players. Things have improved since then. VideoLAN is also very popular these days.

All of these players use libdvdread/libdvdcss to read and decode encrypted commercial DVDs. Everything I've tried over the past 6 months (Ogle and VideoLAN) have worked well out of the box. I experience occasional problems with some commercial DVDs, but so far nothing that has prevented me from watching any movies.

I strongly advise you to send e-mail to Xandros tech support and describe your needs and concerns. I'm sure they'll respond with appropriate suggestions with respect to what's bundled in their distros and what can be downloaded.
