Really Brief Show Notes This Week
We spent so much time during Podcast 38 babbling our opinions and warning you about everything in sight, that we really didn't get onto much that merits inclusion in the show notes. You really don't want to read a re-hash here, do you?
Next week's Podcast should generate a mountain of show notes however, because we're going to present you with our first-ever technical round table. We've lined up some serious IT experts to talk about the decisions that have to be made be small business owners. These guys are budget hawks, technology hawks and they also love performance and efficiency. If you want to get some ideas about how to spend (and save) your money, tune in next week.

New Rules for Small Corporations & Companies
The U.S. federal government and numerous state governments have enacted small business legislation which provides creditors and other entities with greater access to you, personally. Gone are the days when the mere existence of a coporation would protect the principle shareholders against all events. Canada and the UK have followed suit. Maybe too many people were taking advantage of the protections offered by older legislation to pursue questionable business practices? Here are some links which will help you stay up-to-date no matter what country, county, province or state you're in:
Great Britain/UK: The British Government web site has a terrific business start-up page with links to everything you need to know. Well done.
Canada: The excellent Canada Business area of the Government of Canada web wite contains comprehensive information and links to everything you need to know. Some information is buried, but overall the site is extremely useful.
United States: The U.S. has one of the best national online information services we've seen. It's called the Small Business Administration and the site is very well organized and thorough.
Use these sites as starting points—after all, you may be interested in a more limited state, county or provincial corporation or limited liability setup. All three sites offer comprehensive startup guidance as well as advice for existing businesses. Of course, these sites are where you'll find the most up-to-date information on business laws, rules and regulations.
