KSN Interview: Leading Step Software
Leading Step founder and developer, Renee Revis, is terrific and she has some great ideas about classrooom education. If you're interested in making use of Palm OS handhelds in your classroom(s) or if you're a parent interested in finding out more about all the different Leading Step software for Grade 3-6 children, head over to the web site and have a look at what's available.

AlphaShield X2, Home Network and Computer Protection
Well you can't have too much protection. The thing to remember however is that too much of the same kind of protection can, in fact, be a bad thing. For example, running more than one software firewall can get you into trouble. Running two antivirus programs at the same time is counterproductive. On the other hand, running two different anti-spyware utilities (separately) is often a good idea mainly because it's well know that not all anti-spyware utilities catch all spyware all the time.
Tracking Down Trial Versions of Software
We always include a link at the top of each KSN product review which takes you directly to the product web page rather than the product maker's home page. That means you can also usually find a link to download a trial version or time limited version of the program. If you're not interested in patronizing the product web site, most shareware and some commercial programs are available online from dozens of reputable download sites. Do a Google, Yahoo! or MSN search for the product name plus the words "trial version" or "download" and you'll usually get lots of links to choose from.
