Cats & Computers & Soft Drinks
Cats are dangerous to computers.
Of course, the only thing more dangerous to a computer is a computer user who insists on placing a soda can near a keyboard, mouse, mouse pad (or worst of all) a laptop). We see many sad people with dead laptops that have been soaked to death by Pepsi, Coke, orange juice, coffee and you-name-it. For the record, we will NEVER admit to EVER doing anything of the kind ourselves. Ahem.
The WowPad is completely liquid-proof. It has no absorbency factor of any kind. As a matter of fact, the manufacturer recommends that you wash it in warm soapy water from time to time in order to refresh the tackiness of the non-adhesive back. We actually soaked a couple of the WowPads we tested in gasoline, Varsol and some other corrosive compounds just to see how well the product might fare in industrial environments. We had no luck causing any damage until we got to the mild acids. When you do wash off your WowPad, remember to rinse it thoroughly.
The days of the spongy, cloth-topped mouse pad are over. They ended with the ubiquity of ball-less optical mice. Flat, finely tuned surfaces etched on thin, waterproof and washable plastics are the best choices.
