Averatech All-In-One

Averatech All-In-One
Averatech have launched their All-in-one PC. The design is based around the form-factor we've seen previously in the iMac and the Dell XPS One. A display case which also houses everything a PC needs inside. The Averatec All-In-One has has a 22-inch display and has 2GB of RAM, a 320GB HDD, built-in HDTV tuner and like the iMac and XPS One features a slot loading optical drive. The All-In-One is powered by an Intel Core 2 Duo E4600 CPU and uses an NVIDIA GeForce 8400 for graphics. It is available for purchase now at an MSRP of $1249. For more info visit the

Dell To Release The XPS One


Dell have joined both Apple and Gateway in creating a media centric PC which echoes to form factor made popular by the Apple G5 iMac. This unit is looking to outclass the Gateway One interms of it's performance and specs. The One will feature a 22-inch display framed by stereo speakers and topped off by a webcam. It will also feature a slot-loading Blu-ray burner along the right bezel, and support at least a 2.66GHz Core 2 Duo, a Mobility Radeon HD 2400 graphics processor and up to 4GB of RAM, Wi-FI, Bluetooth, a memory card reader, and connectors for S/PDIF audio output and a TV dongle. The machine will also feature a wireless mouse, a compact wireless keyboard with a built-in trackpad, and a remote. No firm news on pricing but it is expected to be in the $2K range...

Apple To Announce New iMac Products

Apple are planning a whole slew of iMac based announcements in the next week. With press invitations being handed out for an Apple "product presentation for Mac" in Cupertino next week. The event will take place on Tuesday, August 7th. Apple are being very clear about the fact that this is going a Mac products only press event.
