Lacie Release USB Speakers

LaCie USB Speakers
LaCie have created USB versions of their cool FireWire speakers, and at £39, they are half the price of the Firewire versions. Designed by Neil Poulton, who's had a long history of designing for LaCie. The speakers have a frequency response of 90Hz-20kHz and the cables can be tucked in under the speakers allowing for an uncluttered desk. They take their power via the USB port and can also be used with an MP3 player, via an optional adaptor. For more info visit the product page at LaCie.

CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X3 Lacie Hard Drive Bundle

Corel Corporation announced the latest bundle offer for their flagship product CorelDRAW® Graphics Suite X3 that will provide purchasers of the suite with extra storage space for large image and multimedia files. "Between 1st September and 31st December 2007, customers across Europe are eligible for a free external memory hard drive from LaCie in stylish F.A. Porsche design worth £69 when they buy a full version of Corel’s Vista compatible design software CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X3."

Customers buying from resellers are asked to download an application form from www.corel.co.uk/lacieand send it to the address specified with proof of purchase. The hard drive is then shipped within 30 days. When purchased through Corel’s Store, the bundle is shipped within 5 days. Application forms will be accepted until 15th January 2008. Sounds like an excellent deal to me ...

LaCie 526, 25.5" LCD Display for Photographers

LaCie's new 25.5-inch LCD monitor is clearly aimed at photographers, video editors, and design pros. It features a 1,920 by 1,200 resolution, a wide gamut range which supports 95 percent of the AdobeRGB color space and 98.5 percent of ISO coated colors, offering consistent color-accurate across displayed, output, and printed colors. The 526 also features a 12-bit Look Up Table and 16-bit processing for smooth color gradients; with an embedded color sensor which monitors and stabilizes the output of the displays backlight over time. The LaCie 526 Monitor has an SRP of $1,999 ($2,299 with the blue eye pro colorimeter) a price, truly aimed at pros.
