HP Pavilion HDX Laptop

HP have introduced their Pavilion HDX Laptop. This unit isn't so much a laptop as it is more a desktop replacement which will give pretty much any desktop and laptop a serious scare.
The HDX is packed with features such as 2GB-4GB ram, a 240GB hard drive, a HD DVD-ROM drive, HDMI output, built-in TV tuner, webcam, a remote control, and a 4 speaker audio system which includes a built-in subwoofer. As a laptop you will most likely need to give your legs a break every few minutes as the thing weighs a whopping 15.5 lbs. The HDX begins at US $2900.

Sanyos Sexy 1080p Camcorder

Sanyo have announced the Xacti 'DMX-HD1000' - the world's smallest Full HD capable camcorder. At just 112 x 90 x 54mm and weighing 311g, the HD1000 looks like something out of a Star Trek TV show. Featuring a pistol like chasis that sports a 2.7in fold away LCD. It is a full 1080P based camcorder, which also features the ability to shoot 8MP stills, sports a 10x optical zoom and HDMI-out.

With support for SD & SDHC cards and Mpeg4 and a battery life which is good for up to two full hours of continuous recording, you really couldn't wish for much more... Oh yes it should also have an SRP of US $1,000.

Shuttle SG33G5M XPC - SFF HTPC

Yeah, talk about a lot of letters. Basically this is a Small Form Factor Barebones based Home Theatre PC with a lot of features. At around $400 it is one of the coolest looking Shuttles I've seen yet.

I have an earlier model which I swear by, and with all the features found in this new unit I'm very tempted to upgrade. The unit sports HDMI output, remote control and VFD display included. This Vista-ready SFF PC supports Intel’s Core[TM] 2 Quad, Core[TM] 2 Duo E6000/E4000, Pentium Dual-Core E2000 series and Celeron 400 series processors.

The unit also supports up to 4GB of DDR2-800 memory in dual-channel mode. With HDMI output which supports the playback of copy protected HD content through HDCP visuals and sound are sent digitally over one cable. Specs are as follows:

Asus C90 - Upgradable Laptop

Most techies consider laptops to be throw away technology because of the way the devices are built. The idea of being able to upgrade a laptop usually doesn't come into the picture. When you are buying one, you get what you get. Asus are trying to change that situation with their new C90 gaming laptop. Everything from the CPU and graphics card through to its optical drive will be upgradeable. The C90 will also include an HDMI port.

Samsung Shows 1080P LCDs With Triple HDMI Ports

With multiple devices now vying for the HDMI Inputs on your HDTV LCD, having those extra ports will prove a boon. Just think, You can get one of these baby's from Sammy, and plug in your HDTV Cable or Satellite box, your HD-DVD unit, and your new Blu-ray based Sony Playstation 3. Talk about spoilt for choice ... the new LCD units from Samsung are 40in, 46in and 52in and all feature 1080p native resolution screens with a high 15,000:1 contrast ratio.
